At the heart of my teaching is the belief that every singer can grow. I strive to help students discover their authentic voice, deepen their artistry, and find personal fulfillment in singing. Through individualized instruction and personalized goal-setting, I create a supportive but challenging environment that encourages students to step outside their comfort zones, build lasting musicianship, and develop the confidence to share their voice with others.

My students are consistently recognized for their achievements, earning placements in national competitions—including the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) National Student Auditions, Music International Grand Prix, and the Hal Leonard Vocal Competition—while also regularly placing in local and regional competitions. They have gone on to gain admission to distinguished music programs, perform leading roles in school and community theatre productions, and earn places in highly selective choirs and a cappella ensembles. Above all, my students are thoughtful, motivated performers who challenge themselves artistically and grow through consistent audition and performance experience.

Personalized curriculum with emphasis on healthy technique(s) to achieve musical goals in a variety of styles
A regular 30-, 45-, or 60-minute weekly timeslot. Weekly lessons provide consistency and allow us to: build lesson rapport; dig deep into technique and musical knowledge; set personalized and realistic goals; build repertoire; and set a steady practice routine. With weekly lessons, I can truly get to know you and your unique voice.
Single lessons scheduled on an as-needed basis, pending availability. This option is most popular with students who may already have voice lesson experience and who wish to prep for auditions or another specific goal.

🎉✨ Congratulations, Leena! ✨🎉 I’ve had the joy of working with Leena since she was in elementary school—watching her grow into a versatile, dedicated vocalist has been such a gift. Leena has focused her studies on classical and musical theatre (with a little pop sprinkled in for fun!), and she’s brought her beautiful voice to our studio recitals year after year. Along the way, among her many musical accomplishments, she has been named a NATS National Quarterfinalist and advanced twice to the second round of the CS Music Competition! And she did all this while juggling school, robotics, dance, and ice skating… and probably more! (Fun fact: Leena was my very first student to try out virtual lessons right before everything shut down for the pandemic in 2020 😱) This fall, Leena heads to Vanderbilt University on a full ride scholarship!! 🎉 And she plans to keep singing while in college and beyond. I couldn’t be prouder of her incredible work ethic, big heart, and beautiful artistry. Congratulations, Leena! ✨🎓 Congratulations, Amalia! 🎓✨ It has been such a joy watching Amalia grow from a dedicated middle schooler into the accomplished young artist she is today. Over the years, Amalia has tackled classical, musical theatre, and pop styles with equal passion. Every performance is so joyful! She’s sung in our twice-yearly recitals, made district chorus and all-state auditions, reached the NATS National Student Auditions quarterfinals, performed with the Honors Performance Series, stayed active in her local music scene, and shone onstage in musicals—most recently as Aquata in The Little Mermaid! This spring, she wrapped it all up beautifully with a senior solo performance at school. Amalia will be heading to Boston University this fall to major in Journalism with a minor in Music. 🎉 I know she’ll keep using her voice to make a difference wherever she goes. What a busy, fun, and successful few days at @officialnats National Student Auditions! Two students travelled to Philadelphia for the National semifinals, and both placed!! Diya (@diyakoul1 ) placed 3rd in Lower High School Classical, and made the semifinals for Lower High School Musical Theatre; Sid (@sid_shanker ) placed 1st in Youth Commercial Music!
